Due West, SC - The Erskine Lacrosse program recognize four seniors for their year of service during half-time of today's game. Bethany Barron, Ruth Dye, Jessica Kinard, and Jessica Skinner played vital roles in laying the foundation for our new lacrosse program. Coach Kristy Quigley commented, "these young ladies came out to learn the game of lacrosse while providing leadership to our young freshmen players." Ruth Dye and Jessica Kinard played attack both scoring goals in this year's campaign while Bethany Barron and Jessica Skinner served at midfielder.
Rollins College dominated the game, scoring five times in the first five minutes of the game. Rollins College displayed both outstanding stick skill moving the ball quickly as well as athleticism. Mallory Surpless and Bizzie Durell led the Tar attack with 4 goals a piece. Tori Snow and Steph Wiedenhofer also contributed two goals a piece. In all, ten Rollins players would score in the game. Erskine did manage to slow the Rollins attack in the 2nd half limiting them to just 3 goals. Erskine falls to 0-12 on the year while Rollins improves to 8-2. Erskine travels to Pfeiffer University on Tuesday with game time set at 4 p.m. Rollins continues their road trip as they play St. Andrews on Sunday. Game time is 12 p.m.
