Ruth Dye Scores First Career Lacrosse Goal

Pfeiffer wins 24-1

Due West, SC - Pfeiffer University used a relentless offense to pound out 41 shots in a 24 to 1 win over Erskine College.  Despite the lopsided score, Erskine's lacrosse team continues to show improvement.  Ruth Dye found an opening from behind the net at the 14:12 mark to put Erskine on the board in the first half.  It was her first collegiate lacrosse goal.  Erskine also displayed promise by winning 8 draw controls against an aggressive Pfeiffer team.  Unfortunately, the Fleet struggled to maintain ball control on offense, turning the ball over repeatedly under the Pfeiffer defensive pressure.

Pfeiffer University improves to 5-2 overall and 4-1 in Conference Carolinas while Erskine falls to 0-9 overall and 0-8 in Conference Carolinas.  Tori Binder of Pfeiffer led all scorers with 4 goals.  Kelly McConnell and Jessica Moulton also had three goals apiece for the Falcons.

The Fleet are on the road tomorrow against Lees-McRae College with game time set for 2:00 p.m. Pfeiffer University also travels up the mountain as they face Lees-McRae on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
