Wilson, NC – Erskine shot just 25 percent from the floor in route to a 64 to 43 loss to Barton College Saturday night. Erskine’s defense kept the game close through the first ten minutes of the game, limiting Barton to just 10 points. Unfortunately the Fleet managed to shoot just 1 for 13 from the field during that same span. Barton slowly built their lead to take a 35 to 15 advantage at halftime. Erskine kept the Bulldogs in check the 2nd half but could not overcome the first half deficit. Ethan McNary came off the bench to earn a double-double for the Fleet with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The Fleet have two more games before the Christmas break. Erskine travels return to Allen University on Tuesday and host their first home game this Saturday at noon against Johnson-Wales.
