Due West, SC – Point guard Porsha Morgan directed the Lady Fleet to a twelve point victory against conference foe Coker College Monday evening. The game was tight through the first half with Erskine clinging to a two point advantage. But the Fleet got the offense going in the 2nd half charging out to a ten point lead, shooting 50% from the field, including 5 for 9 from 3-point range. The Fleet won 79 to 67 defeating the Coker Cobras.
For the night, Porsha Morgan had 23 points along with 7 assists. Audrey Timmerman tossed in 18 points while Neci Allen contributed 10 points. Elizabeth Tatum just missed a double-double finishing with 9 points and 9 rebounds.
The Lady Fleet are 2-0 overall (1-0 Conference Carolinas) while Coker remains winless (0-4) on the young season. The Fleet play in the North Georgia Thanksgiving Classic this weekend. The Fleet take on Trevecca Nazarene College on Friday at 4 p.m. and Kentucky Wesleyan College on Saturday at 2 p.m.
