Erskine Women's Soccer | Early goal sends Newberry past Fleet in road opener

NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Erskine College women's soccer team (0-2) was defeated by Newberry College (1-0-1) by a score of 1-0 at Smith Road Complex on Wednesday evening in the Fleet's 2026 road opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED
A goal inside the first three minutes from the hosts put Erskine behind for a majority of the match. Valentina Santana made seven saves to keep the Fleet within a goal and Alexa Harrison's shot in the 31st minute tested the Wolves' goalkeeper, but the Fleet were unable to find an equalizer.
