HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: Lenoir-Rhyne 9-1Â Erskine (Final / 5 innings)
Back on the road on Wednesday, the Fleet fell behind early on a 1st-inning home run from Lenoir-Rhyne. A couple of errors and stolen bases helped the Fleet get on the board in the second as
Amber Clark scored the Fleet's first run of the day. However, the Fleet could not capitalize any more, leaving the bases loaded in the second and the Bears offense broke it open with a four-run fifth inning to reach the run rule.
Game 2: Lenoir-Rhyne 8-0 Erskine (Final / 5 innings)
First-inning runs proved problematic again in the second game of the day, and the Bears continued to extend their lead with three more runs in the second inning as the Erskine offense struggled against Lenoir-Rhyne pitcher Faith Carrigan.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine has almost a week off before it returns to the field, when the Fleet host Augusta University (4-6) for a doubleheader on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
