DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (0-8, 0-3 CC) was defeated by Southern Wesleyan University (2-9, 1-5 CC) by a score of 77-69 at Belk Arena on Saturday afternoon.
The Fleet hung around with the Warriors for most of the day, but an extended SWU run toward to the latter stretches of the second half proved to be the difference.

Erskine shot 39% (24-61) from the field and 31% (12-39) from the three-point line, as well as 69% (9-13) from the free throw line. However, SWU outrebounded the Fleet, 51 to 35, including an 18 to 6 advantage on the offensive glass and the Warriors were plus-10 at the free throw line in a close contest for much of the afternoon.

Erskine is right back in action for the first-ever meeting against South Carolina Central Christian College (0-8, 0-2 NSAC) on Monday at 4 p.m. inside Belk Arena.
