DUE WEST, S.C. – Erskine Flying Fleet Football will play its home games of the upcoming 2025 season at Dixie High School in Due West, Director of Athletics
Mark Peeler announced on Wednesday morning.
"The experience playing at Greenwood High School the past four years has been a positive one at a wonderful facility, but we have been unable to build a fan base and get students at our games in Greenwood," Peeler said. "Moving the games to Due West just feels like the right thing to do at the right time to help us grow Fleet football. This move brings a renewed excitement and will create a positive environment for our home football games. We are appreciative of Dixie High School and the Abbeville School District for giving us this opportunity to bring Erskine football truly home."
After reviving the football program in 2019, Erskine has spent the past four seasons playing at Greenwood High School, about a 30-minute drive from the college's campus. This change moves the site of future home games to less than a mile away from the Erskine campus.
"We are excited about the opportunity to play at Dixie High School. For the first time since we brought football back, we will have the chance to play a true home game," Erskine Football Head Coach
Shap Boyd said. "With Dixie upgrading their facilities, they are now capable of providing the accommodations for a college football game, and we are excited to be able to play in front of a local crowd – a truly home crowd of potential fans and supporters."
Information about tickets, parking, etc. will be released at a later date.
The full 2025 schedule will be revealed on Thursday for the inaugural year of football in Conference Carolinas.
