AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Erskine College softball team (0-4) lost both games of a doubleheader against Augusta University (3-3) at Jaguar Field on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: Augusta 8-1 Erskine
Playing its first true road games of the season, Erskine got off to a fast start, as
Maddie Ingram worked a two-out walk and then
Hailey Watson followed with an RBI double down the left field line to give Erskine a 1-0 lead in the top of the second. However, the Jaguars responded with three runs in the bottom half to go in front and added insurance runs in the third and sixth innings.
Game 2: Augusta 9-2 Erskine
In the back half of the doubleheader, Augusta was the team to strike first, scoring three runs in the opening inning. The Fleet got on the board in the sixth with RBIs from
Amber Clark and
Emily Johnson, but could not overcome the fast start from the Jaguars.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine has its first home games of the 2025 season this weekend, when they welcome in Coker University (0-2) on Saturday for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
