AIKEN, S.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (0-5) was defeated by USC Aiken (4-1) by a score of 96-64 at the USC Aiken Convocation Center on Tuesday night.
Max Peeler connected on six three-pointers, finishing with a game-high 20 points, while
Anthony Phillips, Jr. added an efficient 18 points as well.

Erskine shot 40% (17-43) from the field and 41% (13-32) from the three-point line, but just 59% (17-29) from the free throw line. The Fleet were outrebounded, 54 to 25, and commited 20 turnovers, which the Pacers converted to 24 points.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine has over a week off before its first home game of the season, after eight contests (including exhibitions) away from home to begin the year. The Fleet will also have their conference opener, when Emmanuel University (1-6, 1-1 CC) comes to town on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
