DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's volleyball team (8-18, 6-12 CC) defeated Young Harris College (8-18, 5-13 CC) in four sets at Belk Arena on Tuesday night.
The Fleet used seven aces to rally past Young Harris in the opening set and then hit over .300 in the third and fourth sets to pick up a valuable win that moved Erskine into the top 12 in the latest KPI standings.

Becca Yohe led the Fleet with a match-high 20 kills, to go along with 15 digs, 2 assists, and 2 aces. Yohe earned her fifth double-double of the season and was excellent from to start to finish on the outside on Tuesday. She totaled five kills in the Fleet's first seven points of the night and then racked up seven more kills in the fourth set to put the finishing touches on the Fleet's victory.
THE TEAM
Erskine recovered after a slow start and hit .219 (56 K / 21 E / 160 A) for the match, while holding YHC to just a .143 hitting percentage. The Fleet had a 10 to 5 advantage in aces in the match and outblocked the Mountain Lions, 5 to 3.
WHAT'S NEXT?Â
Erskine has its road regular season finale this weekend, taking on Southern Wesleyan University (12-10, 10-8 CC) on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Fleet used a reverse sweep to knock off the Warriors in Due West last month.
