Less than 24 hours from a thrilling road win at Converse, Erskine struggled on Saturday afternoon and hit a season low in conference play, -.049 (27 K / 32 E / 102 A) for the match, while Belmont Abbey posted a .178 hitting percentage. The Fleet were outblocked, 7 to 1, and surrendered 13 Crusader aces.
