DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's soccer team (2-3-1, 1-3-0 CC) was defeated by Southern Wesleyan University (2-4-1, 2-2-1 CC) by a score of 1-0 at Ralph Lundy Field on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In an evenly contested defensive affair between two Southeast Division foes in Conference Carolinas, a 60th-minute goal from the visitors proved to be the difference. The Fleet responded well after the goal and controlled most of the play in the final half-hour, generating some quality chances in search of an equalizer but came up short.

"We defended well and were unfortunate to give up a goal off of the rebound of a free kick. We didn't capitalize on dangerous opportunities that we created late in the game. Moving forward, we need to take advantage of these moments to win games!"

WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine begins a three-match road trip over a seven-day span on Saturday, when the Fleet visit King University (4-3, 2-2 CC), with the game slated for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
