DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (3-10, 1-6 CC) was defeated by UNC Pembroke (8-4, 6-0 CC) by a score of 61-57 at Belk Arena on Saturday.
Erskine stifled UNC Pembroke throughout the afternoon and led for 33 minutes against the preseason favorites in Conference Carolinas, but were unable to finish as the Braves rallied late to edge the Fleet.

Erskine shot just 33% (20-60) from the field and just 27% (9-34) from the three-point line. However, the Fleet did hold UNCP to just 39% from the field and 28% from three-point territory as well as dominating the turnover battle, 21 to 8.
