DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (4-10, 2-6 CC) defeated the University of Mount Olive (6-9, 4-4 CC) by a score of 94-86 at Belk Arena on Thursday afternoon.
Sophomore guards
Grant Lovette and
Max Peeler did not start the contest, but combined for 44 points to help the Fleet knock off Mount Olive in a fast-paced affair.

THE PLAYER
The Fleet had a number of high-level performances on Thursday, but redshirt sophomore
Max Peeler posted a career-best 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting from behind the three-point line. The Due West native poured in five triples in the first half alone to help the Fleet rally from as many as 12 points down in the first half and close the opening period on a 20-6 run to take a lead into the break.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 54% (36-67) from the field and 35% (10-29) from the three-point line, as well as 67% (12-18) from the free throw line. The Fleet scored a season-high 38 points in transition and totaled 58 bench points, largely due to the performances from Lovette and Peeler.
