SALISBURY, N.C. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Associations (NCBWA) unveiled its 2025 Preseason All-Southeast Region Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Erskine's Josean Sánchez was named to the First Team, after earning Second Team honors following a tremendous 2024 campaign.
One of the key returners for the Fleet heading into 2025, Sánchez, a junior second baseman from Kissimmee, Florida, led the Fleet in average (.390), runs (56), hits (71), and doubles (14) last season. Sánchez tallied a hit in 37 of the 46 games he featured in, including 22 multi-hit games. The second baseman also posted a .970 fielding percentage, making just five errors in 166 chances, while also turning 17 double plays in the middle infield for the Fleet in 2024. Sánchez was also a first team All-Conference Carolinas selection following an first season in the Erskine program last year.

Erskine begins the 2025 season at Lander on Friday at 4 p.m. and then wraps up their opening-weekend series with the Bearcats with a doubleheader at home on Saturday at 11 a.m.
