ROME, Ga. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (6-12, 3-8 CC) was defeated by Shorter University (4-11, 2-7 CC) by a score of 103-83 at the Winthrop-King Centre on Wednesday night.

Erskine shot 51% (28-55) from the field and 43% (13-30) from the three-point line and 67% (14-21) from the free throw line. However, the Hawks shot 54% from the field, including 67% in the second-half, as the Fleet allowed 58 points in the second period.

Erskine has the weekend off before returning home to start a four-game home stand against Belmont Abbey College (1-12, 0-10 CC) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
