DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College men's volleyball team (12-9, 8-4 CC) defeated Barton College (11-11, 5-7 CC) in straight sets at Belk Arena on Friday night.
With the win, Erskine has sealed a top-four seed in the upcoming Conference Carolinas Tournament. The Fleet are still in play for a top-two seed, which would earn them a bye into the semifinals, but at worst, the Fleet will now be hosting a quarterfinal, regardless of the remainder of the regular season.

Edgerrin Austin got off to a flying start, tallying seven kills in the opening set and carried that momentum throughout the match. Austin finished the night with a match-high 16 kills on an even .400 hitting percentage, along with a pair of aces and five digs to lead the Fleet.
THE TEAM
Erskine hit .309 (40 K / 11 E / 94 TA) for the match, while also totaling eight blocks and seven aces in what was a complete performance for the Fleet.
WHAT'S NEXT?Â
Erskine will have its Senior Day on Saturday, as the Fleet take on the University of Mount Olive (15-8, 8-4 CC) at 2 p.m., in what becomes another massive match for the Fleet's seeding in the conference tournament.
