HOW IT HAPPENED
On the road for the final time in 2024, Erskine got off to a fast start as an RBI double from
Juan Jaime opened the scoring in the top of the first. However, Lincoln Memorial responded quickly and posted a four-spot in the bottom half of the opening frame. LMU scored the next five runs of the game to extend its lead.
Daniel Hernandez hit his fourth big fly of the season in the eighth inning and then doubled home two more runs in the ninth, but the early deficit proved to be too much to overcome for the Fleet.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine concludes league play this weekend with a series against the joint-conference leaders, North Greenville University (37-10, 21-6 CC), starting on Friday at Grier Field at 2 p.m.
