HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: Southern Wesleyan 9-2 Erskine
Southern Wesleyan scored in each of its first two innings at the plate, but a two-run home run from Kyndall Chandler in the third tied the game at 2. Starting pitcher Kaylee Odum settled in after the first two frames and kept SWU off the board for the next two innings, but the Warriors retook the lead in the fifth. Erskine cooled off offensively after the Chandler big fly, and SWU broke the game open in the final inning to earn a Game 1 win.

Game 2: Southern Wesleyan 10-2 Erskine (Final / 5 innings)
In the final game of the regular season, it was the visitors who struck first, scoring twice in the second inning. The SWU offense continued to build on its momentum with runs in the next two frames. Erskine got on the board in the fourth with RBIs from Ellie Rapson and Kenzie Eagleman, but after the Warriors added three more runs in the fifth, the game ended due to a run rule.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine will be the No. 12 seed in next week's Conference Carolinas Tournament, held at Tyger River Park in Duncan, S.C. The Fleet will begin the tournament in the play-in round on Thursday at 12 p.m. against the No. 5 seed, Emmanuel University (29-22, 15-9 CC).
