HOW IT HAPPENED
Riding a six-game winning streak, Erskine returned home for a huge three-game set with UNC Pembroke. But, the Braves took a second-inning lead on a solo home run and added three more in the next frame to jump out to an early 4-0 lead.
Ben Maskin got the Fleet on the board with an RBI single in the fourth and came through again in the sixth with a run-scoring double, but Erskine was unable to get within three runs of the Braves. The visitors blew the game open in the final few frames as Erskine was beaten in the series opener.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine and UNC Pembroke wrap up their weekend tilt with a doubleheader on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m.
