FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Erskine College men's volleyball team (9-5, 5-2 CC) defeated Emmanuel University (5-11, 2-5 CC) in straight sets at the Shaw Athletic Center on Tuesday night.
After rather convincing victories in each of the first two sets, Erskine had to dig deep in set 3, but prevailed with a thrilling 30-28 win to seal the road sweep.

Still without their premier outside hitter, Erskine relied on its depth on Tuesday night and got a huge performance from sophomore
Pablo Zamar. Zamar totaled a match-high 13 kills, along with three blocks and four digs to help lead the Fleet to a road victory.
THE TEAM
Erskine hit just .192 (42 K / 22 E / 104 TA) for the match, but held Emmanuel to just a .110 hitting percentage, thanks in part to eight blocks from the Fleet.
WHAT'S NEXT?Â
Erskine returns home briefly this weekend for a conference contest against Belmont Abbey College (10-2, 6-1 CC) on Friday at 7 p.m. Each of the last two meetings in Due West between the Fleet and the Crusaders have gone all five sets, but both have been won by Erskine.
