MARS HILL, N.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (1-4) was defeated by Mars Hill University (2-0) by a score of 81-69 at Stanford Arena on Monday evening.
Erskine got a career-high 22 points from sophomore guard
Grant Lovette, with
Christian Monroe (15 points) and
Max Peeler (12 points) also reaching double figures, but the Fleet were unable to hold onto a halftime lead on the road.

Erskine shot 46% (25-54) from the field and 39% (14-36) from the three-point line, as well as 71% (5-7) from the free throw line. But, the Fleet were outrebounded, 41 to 28, and MHU had a 20 to 7 advantage in second chance points.
