CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (2-4) defeated Johnson & Wales University (1-4) by a score of 84-77 at the JWU Wildcat Center on Wednesday evening.
Erskine led by 18 at the half and held off a late Wildcats rally to earn a seven-point win on the road. The Fleet had five different double-digit scorers in the contest and rained in 12 threes while also shooting an efficient 50% from the field overall.

Sophomore guard 
Christian Monroe scored a game-high 18 points in just 22 minutes of action to lead the Fleet to the win. Monroe was an efficient 7-for-11 from the field and connected on three three-pointers, while also grabbing a pair of rebounds.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 50% (32-64) from the field and 33% (12-36) from the three-point line. The Fleet outscored JWU in the paint, 36 to 22, and were stifling in their perimeter defense, holding the Wildcats to just 18% (5-28) from the three-point line.
