DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (3-9, 0-5 CC) defeated Warren Wilson College (2-9) by a score of 80-52 at Belk Arena on Tuesday night.
Erskine and Warren Wilson went back-and-forth for much of the first half, but the Fleet used a 14-0 run in the final five minutes of the half to take a 43-24 lead into the break. Using the momentum they took into the locker room, Erskine started the second half with an 11-1 run to blow the game open and never looked back, pouring in a season-high 15 threes from nine different players in a convincing home win.

Max Peeler came off the bench to lead the Fleet offense on Tuesday, connecting on four three-pointers as part of a career-high 14 points. Peeler also grabbed a pair of rebounds and dished out an assist in 20 minutes.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 40% (30-76) from the field, and 39% (15-39) from the three-point line, as well as 71% (5-7) from the free throw line. The Fleet dominated the turnover category, forcing 21 Owls turnovers and converting them to 31 points while committing just eight turnovers of their own as a team.
WHAT'S NEXT?Â
Erskine goes on the road as it gets back into conference play this weekend, making the trip to Southern Wesleyan University (2-13, 1-4 CC) on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Warriors have won eight straight meetings against the Fleet in the series.
