HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: North Greenville 10-9 Erskine
Fresh off scoring 23 runs in their doubleheader yesterday, the Fleet offense picked up right where it left off, as a Brooke Patterson RBI single gave Erskine a 1-0 lead after the first inning. Maddie Ingram started the top of the second with a base hit, and then Kenzie Eagleman launched a two-run home run, her sixth big fly of the season, giving the Fleet a 3-0 lead. And Erskine wasn't done there in the second inning, as Anna Taylor followed the home run with a base hit and came around to score as the Fleet executed some "small ball", capped by a Kyndall Chandler RBI groundout. Moments later, Patterson delivered a two-run home run of her own as the Fleet opened up a 6-0 lead after just two innings. Gabby Burroughs added an RBI single in the fourth and then a two-run single in the sixth as Erskine looked to be in control, leading 9-1. But, North Greenville scored nine times in their half of the sixth and stole Game 1.

Game 2: North Greenville 9-1 Erskine (Final / 5 innings)
NGU scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back in Game 2. Amber Clark's bases-loaded walk in the fourth scored Adrienne Raines and got Erskine on the board, but the back half of the doubleheader belonged to the hosts as they won it 9-1.

THE PLAYER
Brooke Patterson was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate in Game 1 with a double, a home run, three runs scored and three driven in to lead the Fleet offensively. Patterson also worked a pair of walks in Game 2.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine remains on the road this weekend when they visit conference-leading Emmanuel College (25-15, 12-4 CC) for a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m.
