HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: Erskine 8-0 Alderson Broaddus (Final / 5 innings)

Brooke Patterson started the scoring for the Fleet with an RBI single in the first inning, giving the Fleet its first lead and they never looked back. Peyton Rabon doubled the lead with a solo home run in the second, before Erskine broke the game wide open with a five-run third. It was Patterson again who got things going with an RBI double, scoring Mary Elizabeth Ballard. Maddie Ingram followed with a run-scoring hit of her own, before Rabon added to her big game with a two-run single. The Erskine catcher finished the game in the bottom of the fifth with a walk-off RBI double, as Erskine run-ruled Alderson Broaddus in Game 1.

Game 2: Erskine 7-0 Alderson Broaddus (Final)
The Fleet offense continued to score early in Game 2 of the day, but this time utilized some patience at the plate to score runs. The first three runs of the game were tallied on bases-loaded walks by Erskine hitters. Ingram followed the last of the three with a sacrifice fly, giving the Fleet a 4-0 lead after two innings. Rabon and Adrienne Raines each had run-scoring hits in the fifth, and then Hayden Bradley added an RBI single in the sixth, as Erskine cruised past the Battlers in Game 2, 7-0.

THE PLAYER
On a day where the Erskine offense totaled 15 runs, it was pitcher Kaley Ingle who had the best day. Ingle tossed complete game shutouts in both victories, allowing just six hits over 12 innings pitched and totaled 22 strikeouts on the day. Following the pair of wins, Ingle improved her record to an impressive 8-1 for the Fleet this year.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Fleet have the next nine days off, before another home non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday, March 14, when Erskine takes on Georgia College (13-6, 3-3 PBC) at 2 p.m.
