BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Erskine College women's lacrosse team (2-3, 0-2 CC) was defeated by Lees-McRae College (2-5, 2-3 CC) by a score of 20-9 at Tate Field on Saturday afternoon.Â
Anna Ferrebee,
Jenna Varner,
Korenza Heath, and
Kristie Fisher each scored a pair of goals, while
Kalea Hamilton also found the back of the net for the Fleet.
THE PLAYER
Korenza Heath led the Fleet attack with two goals and three assists, playing a role in five of the nine Erskine goals.
THE TEAM
Erskine was outshot by the Bobcats 39 to 18, and
Madelyn Rogers made 7 saves in goal for the Fleet.
WHAT'S NEXT
Erskine stays on the road in conference play to take on Converse University (5-5, 1-1 CC) on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Fleet defeated the Valkyries by a score of 15-10 in Due West last season.
