ANDERSON, S.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (0-2) was defeated by Anderson University (3-0) by a score of 68-47 at the Abney Athletic Center in the first road contest of the season for the Fleet on Wednesday night.

Erskine shot just 27% (14-52) from the field and 25% (5-20) from the three-point line. The Fleet were 52% (14-27) from the free throw line, and were undone by 30 points in the paint from the Trojans.

WHAT'S NEXT? 
Erskine returns home to take on another South Atlantic Conference foe, Mars Hill University (0-2) on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Fleet and Lions played a thriller the last time they met back in 2019, when Erskine made a furious 7-point comeback in the final 50 seconds of regulation before Trent Smoot, Jr. buried a game-winning jumper in the last minute of overtime to give the Fleet a 96-95 victory on their home court.
