THE MATCH
In Erskine's first road conference match of the 2022 season, the Fleet started slowly as King scored twice in a span of 10 minutes and took a 2-0 lead at the half-hour mark. But, Erskine, despite not creating many attacking chances, took full advantage of their only shot of the first half as
Kelsey Tyson fired home on an assist from
Clair Lewis to make it a 2-1 Tornado lead going into the half. Erskine and King were much more evenly matched in the second half, with both teams tallying four shots. In the 71st-minute, freshman
Kathryn Mobley scored her first collegiate goal to level the match at 2 apiece. Neither side threatened to take the lead in the final minutes as Erskine picked up a well-earned road draw against King, 2-2.
THE PLAYER
Kathryn Mobley logged 68 minutes and produced the vital moment of the match with her 71st minute equalizer as her first goal of her collegiate career.
THE TEAM
Erskine was outshot 14 to 5 and King had a narrow 5 to 4 advantage in shots on target.
