The Fleet defeated Clark Atlanta University (0-1, 0-0 SIAC) in straight sets, 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-14) before Erskine was swept by Shorter University (0-1, 0-0 GSC) in straight sets, 3-0 (25-20, 25-10, 25-21) in the nightcap.
