THE SERIES
Erskien still leads the all-time series 15-10.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After an Augusta run in the top of the first inning, the Fleet wasted no time getting their offense going as Christian Rivera continued his tear at the plate with a solo home run in the bottom half to tie the game. Armando Becerra was hit by a pitch before he came around to score on a Dalton Boyd double to give the Fleet a 2-1 lead. Augusta hit a three-run home run in the top of the second to go back in front, but their lead was short-lived again thanks to a Kyle Marti two-run single to put Erskine on top, 5-4. The Fleet settled in and Rivera added to their lead with a fourth-inning RBI double. But, the Jaguars tied the game with a pair of runs in the fifth inning and scored four times in the top of the sixth to take a 10-6 lead. Dontae Wade cut the deficit in half with a line-drive, two-run home run in the bottom half of the sixth. Both offenses went quietly in the seventh, but Augusta regained its four-run lead with a two-run home run of its own in the top of the eighth inning. Erskine answered with a pair of runs of their own in the bottom half on run-scoring singles from Tariq Bacon and Cal Bocchino to make it a 12-10 game, but Augusta added an insurance run in the ninth and the Fleet went quietly in their last at-bat, giving the Jaguars a 13-10 victory.

THE PLAYER
Dontae Wade reached base in all four of his plate apperances, including a rocketed two-run home run in the sixth inning.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine continues its busy week with a road game Wednesday night against the reigning national champions, Wingate University (33-5, 15-2 SAC) at 6:00 p.m. The Fleet knocked off the then No. 1 ranked Bulldogs, 6-2, back in late February.
