HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter:
After both teams shared quick opening drives, Tusculum rattled off a 26-yard carry to begin its second drive and appeared to be threatening to open the scoring. But, on its first play inside the Erskine 10-yard line, Maliek Samuel forced a fumble that was recovered by Jarvis McClurkin. The Fleet capitalized on the momentum later in the quarter, as it was Erskine's turn to rattle off a big run to open a drive. Kevon Catoe blitzed the Pioneers' defense for a 43-yard run, and a few plays later, Catoe showed off his arm, finding Kaavon Parker on a trick play to get Erskine into the endzone and take a 7-0 lead after the first quarter.

Second Quarter:
But, Tusculum responded, scoring twice early on in the second quarter to take a 14-7 lead. However, Catoe led the Erskine offense down the field yet again on the Fleet's next drive. The Erskine running back scampered for 16 yards to begin the drive, and then picked up a fumble and ran for 29 more yards into the redzone. Then, Catoe caught a pass for 10 yards to set up 1st and goal. A few plays later, Korey Besse punched it into the endzone from 2 yards out, tying the game at 14. But, Tusculum took the ensuing kick back for a touchdown, regaining the lead at 21-14, which they would take into the half.

Third Quarter:
The Pioneers built on the momentum, scoring twice in the third quarter to take a commanding lead.

Fourth Quarter:
Tusculum added two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter, as they defeated Erskine by a score of 49 to 14.
