DUE WEST, S.C. – Erskine softball has added Alexandria Simmons-Falmoe to the coaching staff as an Assistant Coach for the 2022 season on Thursday afternoon. Simmons-Falmoe was a volunteer assistant for the Fleet last season and spent the previous six years on the coaching staff at USC-Beaufort, where she worked with the offense along with helping with softball operations.
"I am extremely excited to have Aly [Simmons-Falmoe] as a part of our staff. After being our volunteer coach all last year, I was excited to be able to bring her on staff full time. She will bring a wealth of knowledge to our program and will only help us to get better," Erskine Head Coach
Alleen Hawkins said.
Simmons-Falmoe played collegiately at Florence-Darlington Technical College for her first two years before finishing her career at USC-Beaufort. She was an All-Sun Conference shortstop in her senior campaign, batting .405 with a school-record 17 single season doubles, 9 home runs and a team high of 45 RBIS.Â
In her two seasons with the Sand Sharks, the team posted an overall record of 82-17, which included one appearance at the NAIA Opening Round, 1 Sun Conference Regular Season Championship, 1 Sun Conference Tournament Championship and 1 Sun Conference Tournament Runner Up.
Simmons-Falmoe was a part of some very successful teams at USC-Beaufort where the Sand Sharks won 67% of their games (230-114) in her six-year stint. The Sand Sharks also won a pair of Sun Conference Tournament Championships and made two appearances in the NAIA Opening Round while Simmons-Falmoe was on the staff.
