Due West, S.C. - The Erskine College Cheerleaders made history this week as they received a bronze bid to the NCA College Championship, one of the largest collegiate championships in the nation, that will take place in April 2022 in Daytona Beach, FL. The team qualified for the competition through an elite three-day camp on campus, led by NCA officials. At the conclusion of the camp, NCA officials deemed the squad qualified to attend the National Championships that will be held in Spring of next year.
This marks a historic point in the history of Flying Fleet Athletics as this will be the first competitive cheer team to represent Erskine at the national level. Head Coach
Corbin Huntley was extremely proud of the squad stating, "Qualifying for the national championship is a huge accomplishment, but it is only a small part of the great things that they will accomplish this year. Above all, I am proud to lead them in a direction that will make our college, community, and supporters proud to be the Flying Fleet."
