THE SERIES
The Fleet and Cavaliers met for the first time ever this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1: The Fleet scored a single run in both the second and fourth inning, but found themselves behind after a three-run home run by Walsh in the top of the fourth gave the visitors a 3-2 lead heading into the fifth. Erskine starter Hannah Houge allowed just a single hit in the fifth before the Fleet bats came to life. Katie Hunter led the inning off with a walk and scored off a Sydney McInnis double to the game at 3-3. A Kyndall Chandler two run double and then a two-run home run off the bat of Taylor Antley put the Fleet comfortably ahead 7-3. Although the Cavaliers got two back in the sixth inning, the Fleet bats ended the game early by scoring six in the sixth. Parker Birch connected for a three-run shot to left field and then Antley hit a solo home run to give the Fleet a 13-5 victory.

GAME 2: Scoring was at a premium for the Fleet in game two as they found themselves behind 5-1 after two frames. Walsh put three more past home in the fifth inning to take an 8-1 lead. Katie Hunter led things off with a double in the seventh inning and later scored when Shi Cain singled into center field. Kyndall Chandler brought in Sydney McInnis off a fielder's choice but the game ended off a Tori Cooley strikeout.

THE PLAYER
GAME 1: Hannah Houge (6-0) tossed all six innings to collect her sixth win of the season. Houge struck out eight and allowed just four hits.

GAME 2: Shi Cain was 1-2 with an RBI and a walk.
