DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's lacrosse team (0-6, 0-6 CC) fell to Conference Carolinas leading Belmont Abbey College (8-1, 5-0 CC) 27-4 on Saturday afternoon at Huggins Field.

Since the 2009 season, Belmont Abbey has never lost to Erskine, having won all 15 matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Crusaders earned their first goal of the day just 14 seconds into the match as Kylie Eastman scored off Belmont Abbey's first run. The goal was the first of five on the afternoon for Eastman who led all scorers.
Faith Flanagan got things started for the Fleet with her first goal at the 27:33 mark to make it a 4-1 game. The Fleet would score just once more in the opening half when
Brittany Smith took a pass from Flanagan to put away a ball with 14:52 to play. Belmont Abbey held a 17-2 lead at the break. Flanagan scored twice for the Fleet in the second half, the first of which came off a free position attempt. Belmont Abbey closed out the Fleet for the 27-4 victory.
THE PLAYER
Faith Flanagan scored three of the Fleet's four goals. Flanagan was also 1-for-3 on free position shot attempts.
THE TEAM
Erskine was outshot 37 to 10 and the Crusaders held a 26-7 advantage in draw controls.

The Fleet head to Banner Elk, North Carolina to square off against Lees-McRae College (3-2, 2-2 CC) in their final road match of the season.
