THE SERIES
Since the 2013 season, the Fleet lead the series 13-4, having won four of the past five matches against the Bobcats.

THE MATCH
Set 1: A pair of kills for the both squads started things off. The Fleet won the first set mid-way through when they used a 6-0 run to separate and lead 13-6. The seven-point advantage was the largest either team would hold all evening. The Fleet won the opening set 25-20.

Set 2: Although the Fleet jumped out to a quick 4-1 lead, a flurry of Fleet errors allowed Lees-McRae to tie the set at 7-7. From there, both the set remained tight, until a kill from Kacper Rybarczyk gave the Fleet a 21-18 lead. A crucial 5-0 run from the Bobcats allowed them the room to level the match at a set a piece with the 25-23 win.

Set 3: The final two sets went long as the Bobcats came from behind to win the match. In set three, Lees-McRae won 28-26 after the Fleet came from down seven to tie it at 21-21. Down the stretch, however, the Bobcats received a pair of kills and errors to secure the set.

Set 4: Riding the momentum from the set three win, the Bobcats opened the fourth and final set winning the first point. The Fleet led by as many as five in the fourth, after a 6-0 run gave them a 9-4 early lead. However, the Bobcats rallied back and regained the advantage at 12-11. A kill and then two errors by the Fleet gave the Bobcats the set 26-24.
