THE SERIES
An Erskine draw on Sunday ended a run of three straight matches won by the Crusaders. The series is still tied all-time at 6-6-1.

THE MATCH
The visiting Crusaders controlled the match from the opening kick, both in possession and chances created. After a couple missed chances for North Greenville, Erskine was reduced to ten players in the 29th minute when Jane Ashley Meredith was sent off. Playing a woman down, the Fleet struggled for the remainder of the half, and the Crusaders eventually found a breakthrough in the 41st minute and took a 1-0 halftime lead. The second half followed the same trend, with NGU dominating possession and chances. But, in the 61st minute, the Fleet won a free kick just outside of the North Greenville penalty box and Valeria Ruffo slotted it home, finding the top right corner of the goal and an equalizer for the Fleet. Erskine withstand numerous Crusaders' chances and were saved by the post a couple of times in the second half as well as the match went to overtime tied at one apiece. In both overtime periods, North Greenville continued to control the match, but the Fleet were stout defensively, holding off numerous Crusaders' waves of attacks and earned a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon.

WOMAN OF THE MATCH
Erskine goalkeeper Cheyenne Fuller tallied a career-high 12 saves and played all 110 minutes of the match.

THE TEAM
Erskine was outshot 27-4 and had three shots on goal to NGU's 13. North Greenville totaled 19 fouls to Erskine's 13.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Fleet wrap up a brief two-match home stand against Emmanuel College (1-5, 1-3 CC) next Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

The Lions hold a 3-2 lead in the series all-time and have won each of the last two meetings, including a 2-1 victory in Due West in October 2018.
