THE SERIES
The Fleet picked up their 10th win against the Tornado all-time tonight. Since King joined Conference Carolinas in 2011, Erskine leads 10-7.

THE MATCH
Set 1: The match opened with an attack error by Kacper Rybarczyk, who currently leads the NCAA in aces per set. The Tornado collected three straight kills and then a service ace to take a 10-4 lead which forced the first timeout of the match. Jon Fuller produced a team-high four kills, but the Fleet could not recover as King won the opening set 25-15.

Set 2: The second set went back and forth with the Fleet only able to string together a 3-0 twice. After a lengthy battle, the Fleet earned the edge to win the second set 25-20 and leveled the match at a set a piece.

Set 3: Much like set two, the third set was a tight contest throughout. Consecutive errors by King gave the Fleet the early advantage. Kills by Rybarczyk and Jacob Whyte closed out the set in favor of Erskine, 25-20.

Set 4: The fourth set saw momentum shift back and forth. Erskine received five straight points (two from Edge Austin kills and three errors by the Tornado) to take an early 7-5 lead. However, King came back to win the fourth set 25-23 and force a decisive final set.

Set 5: The Fleet opened the final set with consecutive kills before the Tornado captured the lead off three straight errors. Erskine rattled off the matches last four points though, to claim the final set 15-11.
