THE SERIES
Limestone now leads the all-time series 11-7 and the Saints have won six straight meetings. Erskine's last win over the Saints was back in February 2018.

THE MATCH
Set 1: Following a somewhat slow start to the match, Erskine heated up, and following a pair of kills from Edgerrin Austin, led 13-11 in the opening set. But, the visiting Saints rattled off nine straight points and never looked back to take a 25-18 victory in Set 1.

Set 2: The Fleet started Set 2 strong as an Austin kill and a Tome Filkov ace gave Erskine an early 2-0 lead. The beginning of the second set was closely fought until Limestone went on a 5-0 run to take a 14-10 lead in the set. Erskine scored the next three points including a Jon Fuller kill to get within a point, but the Fleet never caught the Saints following the Limestone run and Erskine dropped Set 2 by a score of 20-25.

Set 3: Erskine trailed Set 3 for most of the early stages, but aces from Fuller and Austin gave the Fleet a 10-9 lead. Limestone won the ensuing three points to take a 12-10 lead. The Fleet recovered in the middle stages of the set and a Kacper Rybarczyk kill was part of a mini 3-0 run for Erskine to tie Set 3 at 16 apiece. The Fleet could not get the lead and Limestone pulled away late. With a 24-20 lead, and four match points incoming, Fuller and Filkov tallied kills to keep Erskine alive but it was not enough as Limestone won Set 3 25-20 to finish off a three set sweep.

THE PLAYER
For the second consecutive night Edgerrin Austin led Erskine in kills. Austin hit .214 (12 K / 6 E / 28 TA). Austin also tallied an ace, a dig, and a pair of blocks for the Fleet.

THE TEAM
Erskine hit just .156 (26 K / 14 E / 77 A) in the match, but did have six aces to Limestone's five and tallied seven blocks. However, Limestone hit .422 (49 K / 14 E / 83 TA) en route to a sweep of Erskine at Belk Arena on Saturday.

WHAT'S NEXT
Erskine returns to action on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. and back at home as they welcome Conference Carolinas foe Lees-McRae (0-3, 0-2 CC) to town. The Fleet have dominated the all-time series with the Bobcats, leading 12-3 and Erskine has won three straight meetings, including 3-0 sweeps in each of the last two matches between the teams.
