BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. – The Erskine College men's golf team won the NCCAA South Regionals on Thursday by shooting a two-day tournament total of 281-291=572.
THE TOURNAMENT

The 36-hole event, hosted at the Columbia Country Club in Blythewood, South Carolina, played to a par of 72 over 6,740 yards.
The field consisted of just three teams (Columbia International University and Bob Jones University) and a total of 18 individual participants.

ERSKINE TEAM NOTES
The Fleet finished 39 strokes ahead of second-place Columbia International University who shot a 303-308=611.
The Fleet's 572 was nine strokes better than they fared at last year's NCCAA South Regionals when they offered a five-over 581.
Today's score is the team's fourth-best total for a 36-hole tournament in program history.
ERSKINE INDIVIDUAL NOTES
Alberto Dominguez
- Dominguez's 69 on Wednesday was his fourth career round in the 60s and now gives him 13 career rounds of par or better.
Logan Hawkins
- The freshman finished three strokes under par in his first collegiate tournament earning a low round of 68 on Wednesday.
Zach McLain
- Collected his second career win on Thursday by shooting a six-under 66, the lowest round ever in program history.
- McLain previously won the North Greenville Invitational with a 144 during the 2018-19 season.
Spencer Addley
- Finished five-over by shooting a 77 today, though he registered his second par or better round on Wednesday with his 72.
Anthony Clarke
- The freshman shot a low round of 73 on Wednesday in his first collegiate tournament.
TOURNAMENT FIELD REPORT
McLain finished first with Hawkins three strokes off the medalist. Dominguez finished third three strokes behind Hawkins. Brody Istace of Columbia International was the only non-Erskine golfer to crack the top-5. Istace shot a 75-72=147 to pace the rams. Addley, rounded out the top five.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Flying Fleet set out for the NCCAA Nationals on October 19-21 where they look to defend their title for the third consecutive season. The tournament will be played at the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida.
