Jordan Watson provided the heroics in the first overtime, drilling a three pointer with 12 seconds remaining to send the game into the second overtime. The Tornado's James Brown hit a critical three pointer and subsequent layup to make it 105-102 in the second overtime, and following a missed three pointer by Smoot, King's Jordan Floyd connected on 1 of 2 free throw attempts to provide the final margin.
The Tornado's Floyd, the NCAA Division II's leading scorer, led all scorers in the game with 43 points. Smoot led the Fleet with 23 points while Watson added 21 and Green pitched in 20. Smoot led all rebounders in the game with 10.
