Gaffney, SC-- In a tightly contested game throughout, Erskine lost on the road at Limestone Saturday, 82-81. The game saw 16 lead changes and was tied seventeen times including 41-41 at the half. Erskine battled back from an eight point deficit with six minutes remaining to take a one point lead with 1:50 to play. A pair of Limestone free throws gave the Saints a 82-78 lead with eight seconds remaining before a final three by the Fleet at the buzzer completed the final score.
Senior Trent Smoot led the Fleet with 22 points, including 4-5 from the 3-point line. Smoot also had a team-high eight rebounds. Sophomore

Malcolm Green contributed 12 points. The Fleet managed only 41.1% shooting on the afternoon. The loss drops Erskine to 4-12 in Conference Carolinas play with four games remaining, three on the road.
