Erskine Sweeps Emmanuel in Conference Opener

Franklin Springs, GA – Erskine swept a Conference Carolinas softball double header from Emmanuel Thursday.  The Fleet won game one 11-5 and game two 8-5.
 
Game One
Julia Cole led the Fleet at the plate going 2-3 with a double, home run, and three RBI's.  Brittany Rhinehardt was 1-5 with a double and three runs driven in, while Reagan Davis was 1-3 with two runs scored.  Morgan Hendrix (4-3) picked up the win allowing five runs on five hits with nine strikeouts in seven innings of work. 
 
Game Two
Sydney Smith was 2-4 with two home runs and three RBI's to lead the Erskine offense.  Rhinehardt was 1-4 with a double and three RBI's and Brittany Reynolds was 1-4 with a double and two runs driven in.  Samantha Schmidt (3-0) picked up the win allowing five hits with four strikeouts in 4.2 innings of relief work.
