Burlington, NC – Trailing 6-2 in the sixth inning, the Flying Fleet scored five runs to come from behind and defeat King in the opening game of the Conference Carolinas Softball Championship Friday morning.
Lydia Trexler was 2-3 with a RBI and run scored, while
Chandler Crawford was 2-4 with a home run and RBI.
Sydney Smith added a double and RBI, while
Marah Branham came off the bench to get a hit and RBI.
Brittany Rhinehardt and
Reagan Davis both had a hit and run scored for the Fleet.
Sheridan Butcher (2-2) picked up the win allowing just three hits in 3.2 innings of scoreless relief.
The Fleet advance to play at 5:00 today against the winner of the #1 Pfeiffer vs #8 Lees-McRae game.
