Misenheimer, NC – The Erskine College women's tennis team edged Pfeiffer 5-4 Saturday afternoon to remain undefeated in conference play and putting the Fleet in position to clinch the regular season title.

The Fleet got off to a hot start with Paola Gullino and Sarah McDonald winning the number one doubles 8-2.  Molly Polk and Rachel Berkey would win the number three doubles 8-5.  Miranda Guthrie and Haley Elliot would win the number two doubles 8-6 to give Erskine a 3-0 lead going into the singles matches.  Guthrie would win her singles match 6-0, 6-0 to put Erskine one point away from the win.  Pfeiffer would win two singles matches to make it 4-2, but Polk would win her singles match 7-6, 6-4 to clinch the victory for the Fleet.
