Due West, SC – Eighteenth ranked Columbus State swept a double header from Erskine College Saturday afternoon in non-conference baseball action.
Game OneTrailing 3-1 in the bottom of the second, Erskine would take advantage of a Cougar error and score four runs to take a 5-3 lead. The Fleet would add two more runs in the fifth to make it a 7-4 game. Trailing by two runs in the top of the second, Columbus State would explode for four runs to take a 9-7 lead. Erskine would get a run in the bottom half of the inning but it wasn't enough as the Cougars held on for the 9-8 win.
Chase Watts led the Fleet going a perfect 4-4 with a triple and two runs driven in.

Landon Dickerson (0-1) took the loss allowing three runs on three hits in one inning of work
Game TwoThe Cougar offense picked up where it left off scoring 15 runs on 13 hits in game two to take a 15-2 victory and win the series.
Brett Silas was 1-2 with a double and run scored and
Chaz Davey was 1-2 with one RBI for the Fleet.
Josh Alley took the loss allowing four earned runs on five hits in three innings of work.
