Due West, SC – The Flying Fleet sent 11 batters to the plate in the first inning and scored five runs and went on to a 14-2 victory over Salem International in the opening game of a three game series.
Trevor Wood would lead off the first with a walk and
Sam Cothran would then blast his first home run of the season over the left field fence to make it a 2-0 game. A two run double by
Destin Nichols and an RBI walk by Wood would give the Fleet five runs. Erskine would add nine more runs over the next seven innings to take the victory.
Cothran was 2-4 with a home run, triple and three RBI's while Wood was 2-3 with a double and three runs driven in to lead the Fleet offense;. Nichols,

Tyler Phillips each added two hits.
Nate Williams (2-0) picked up the win allowing two runs on four hits and striking out four in 4.1 innings of work.
