Due West, SC - Erskine Men's Volleyball earned yet another decisive 3-0 Conference Carolinas win, this time against Belmont Abbey College. 

The match was decided in three sets with close scores of 25-22 ,28-26 and 34-32.

Two players had career highs in 3 set matches tonight.  Mike Michelau had a career high of 23 kills and also contributed the teams only 2 service aces for the night.  He ended the night with only 3 errors posting a .526 hitting percentage.  Michael Schneck had the other record setter with 18 digs in only 3 sets.  

Roberto Perez Vargas, Omar Melendez and Neal Stanley also posted 12, 10 and 8 kills respectively for the Fleet.  Johannes Liepert hit .500 on the night without any errors.  David Grandy dished out an impactful 49 assists and added 3 hard driven digs. 

The final set was the most competitive of the night, as Erskine had to fend off a Belmont Abbey squad that proved they were not going to go down easily.

The team had 59 total kills,  2 service aces, and 40 digs in the match.

The team's record is an impressive 7-3 (6-0 Conference Carolinas). The Fleet remain the only team in Conference Carolinas to remain undefeated in Conference play.

Erskine will play again at home on Saturday, February 27th against University of Mount Olive in hopes of keeping their win streak alive.  Game time is set for 2pm.
